In a letter to the Des Moines Register, Don Yager of Fenton brings up that old term limit pledge that Tom Latham signed off on when he first ran for Congress in 1994: "Isn't that term limit pledge overdue, Tom?"
Isn't that 'term limit' pledge overdue, Tom?
So Tom Latham comes galloping forth on his white horse to save the citizens of the new 3rd District. Never mind his pledge way back in 1994 to limit himself to only 12 years in office.
That leaves us poor slobs here in the new 4th District with Mr. Dark Knight himself, Steve King. What have we done to deserve this?
Just the thought of the possibility that King might one day "represent" me is an embarrassment.
