In an April 2009 visit to Decorah, our hip congressman told his constituents that marijuana leads to heroin and that past and current law enforcement officials callling for a reexamination of marijuana laws are " . . . probably a bunch of old potheads."
LATHAM'S HYPOCRISY ON EARMARKS, FOR IT BEFORE HE WAS AGAINST IT

I don't think anything about "empty suit" Latham irritates me more than his press releases touting his earmarks for the district after he voted against them. This is a guy who has never had a significant piece of legislation passed in 14 years, and has no real influence on the Hill. He doesn't vote in favor of bills that benefit his constituents, and then he pretends he is bringing home the bacon. The following post by Desmoinesdem sums it up well.
